Our teaching staff are suited and dedicated to the profession of teaching dance to students of all ages. All teachers have trained and worked professionally in their specialized dance style. We offer a safe dance environment with three fully equipped studios. At DA we offer technique classes, competition classes, exam and concert work. All students participate in the last of year annual performance. To dance for pleasure, as a hobby, to improve posture and coordination, to confront fresh friends, or to look ahead as a profession in teaching or performance, we encourage our students to arrive the greatest smooth plausible and accomplish their fullest potential to be the best dancer they can be. Kerri has over 37 years of dance training in all styles from Tap to Ballet, Jazz to Contemporary. Kerri is a professional dancer choreographer. She has appeared in many theater productions such as Anything Goes’, Crazy For You’, Barnum’ and has choreographed many musicals and theatrical productions for stage. She has had much victory with her school at competitions, exams and enabling students to further their careers making dance their profession whether as teachers, choreographers or performers.

With a range of dance styles, we donate classes starting at 2 12 years old. Students are also able to perform in competitions and concerts. A technique based class to unused music involving warm up exercises, stretching, travel combinations and a routine. A technique based class to new music involving hot up exercises, travel combinations wearing tap shoes. Focus is on foot labor and learning specific tap steps from a shuffle to a pick up, from a slap ball change to a wing. A technique based class to classical music involving barre work, center exercises, stretching, enchainment and allegro combinations. Students who have strong technique and ability will commence point labor at the appropriate time for each individual with their teacher’s guidance. A merriment hasty moving class involving hot up, funky combinations and routines. Specific technique and style developing flimsy movement technique and combinations. An lively and essential class for students to improve their flexibility and strength and to labor on difficult flexibility, stretch dance tricks. Good for improving strength and flexibility. A theoretical and written component of dance and the use of a studio space for composition. Students are also offered our Tiny Tappers class, which teaches students the basics of Tap dancing. Similar in structure to our younger dance classes, moving a small faster and adding more skills and combinations for this age group.Students are also offered our Small Tappers class, which teaches students the basics of Tap dancing. She has also been a VCR Private Provider for over 22 years achieving immense win with students who often deposit top in the state and have been chosen to perform at Top Class (showcasing students achieving A for their performance exams). This class is begin to students outside DA, but must have mighty dance training to undertake this study. We have classroom facilities for theoretical and written component and a studio space for composition. Exams are not mandatory but are encouraged, as they present students a goal to labor towards. Two classes per week are required for higher level examinations. For students who love to perform on stage, representing the Victorian Dance Academy at competitions gives them the fun of dressing up in costumes, hair and makeup with lots of stage experience performing to a live audience. The DA has been invited to dance at various festivals, fairs and celebrations. Costumes are hired to students for a little fee. We are elated to give our Annual DA Summer school program filled with amazing dance classes and taught by Industry professionals.This year as well as having all of our wonderful DA teachers, we have some outstanding guest teachers who will be taking classes and 1 day workshops.
