An association for the benefit of the public by the promotion of Australian Spontaneous Stone and the coordination and sponsorship of events and ventures and endeavors in the Stone Industry in Australia. The association also aims to bear advice about matters pertaining to the installation, concern and maintenance of natural stone. The principal purposes of AAA being a not for benefit organization are: (b) to facilitate greater cooperation between various sectors of and competing entities within the Australian Stone Industry for the overall earnings of the Stone Industry. (c) to flourish standards of excellence in performance and product supply to differentiate Australian Stone to stone or other products available from other sources. (d) to yield apprenticeship and trainee ship opportunities for the public benefit in the area of the stone industry. (e) to bear industry training in the art of design, construction, manufacture and maintenance of stone products for the public profit and not for particular businesses. (f) to provide information about the Stone Industry and related technology for the public gain and not for exceptional businesses. (i) to bear an organization in Australia for the facilitation of the Principal Purposes. (j) to produce a not for benefit body to which members of the public can make donations for the furtherance the Principle Purposes. (k) to bear Alternative Dispute Resolution services to the public in the specialist area of the stone industry and. (l) the collection of membership and other information to produce data for use in the promotion of the Australian spontaneous stone industry. AAA has developed a helpful association with the Marble Institute of America which resulted in development of the AAA Spontaneous Stone Design Manual’ which is available in hardback with CD, or as a licensed digital download.

Over the last scanty months the AAA Board has discussed two key questions: Item 2, is a potentially sensitive issue, however the Board is keen to magnify membership by attracting greater numbers of suppliers, processors and installers of automatic stone, many of whom also supply, process and install engineered stone. Acting within the terms stocky in the Constitution the Board decided to invite two additional members to join the Board. The new Board now consists of members whose businesses are located in every State. This accords with the Board’s desire to magnify membership, and eventually grasp seminars and board meetings in all States. Consequently we will be capable to donate a more comprehensive overview of how and where natural stone products are impaired in commercial and residential environments. Over the final two years AAA has sold more than 200 copies of its 388 page Automatic Stone Design Manual’, to specifiers and members of industry. Manual sales bear a useful revenue stream. In future, AAA member David West will urge the manual by visiting leading architectural practices and making brief presentations regarding the manual’s content. AAA has joined forces with the Australian Tile Council to develop a guide to choosing automatic stone and ceramic tile products with apropos slip resistance for use in residential environments. AAA will also investigate the development of a number of added attractions to companies and individuals who are contemplating joining the association.
